Seaside Event : Waiting for the Train

sullivan-fullwidthExhibition of works by David Sullivan & Peter Williams – An exchange of methods in Painting, involving Memory Sex Politics & Death

Seaside Event – Waiting for the Train is an exhibition of paintings by two artists concerned with ideas around contemporary Realism and the need to represent that which cannot be expressed.

Both painters explore themes of Politics, Sex, and Death – the mainsprings for most if not all significant painting in art history.

David Sullivan studied at the Kent Institute of Art and Design (Canterbury) and the Royal College of Art.  Selected twice for the Threadneedle Prize at the Mall Galleries, recent exhibitions include @PaintBritain at Ipswich Art School Gallery, and Documentary Realism at Marylebone Church Crypt.

Peter Williams, originally from Great Yarmouth, studied Philosophy at Hull, and for many years taught Mathematics.  Peter has exhibited in Mandell’s Gallery in Norwich, and in 2014 had two paintings included in the Norfolk Contemporary Art exhibition at the Forum.
